Eduardo Secci is pleased to announce the solo show “Harvest of Time” by Monika Grzymala in the gallery space in Milan, in Via Zenale, from September 23 to November 18, 2022.
Monika Grzymala presents a never-before-seen site-specific installation, realized with silver adhesive tape, alongside some new works dealing with the aspect of time in various forms and expressing the idea that drawing is a thought guided by the hand.
Suminagashi (line of flight), consisting of over a thousand mono-prints on paper overlapping in a body-high stack, was conceived during the pandemic and lockdowns between the years 2020 and 2022. The floating ink drawings layer time and build a sediment of the artist's existence.
Other large-scale drawings are based on the gravity of ink on paper and the works called Hand-Drawings manifest the artist's hand movement, which we also find in videos turning hundreds of pages with drawings of The Book of Hours series.
All exhibited works are manifestations of time, at the border with memory, and signs of ephemeral existence through the artist’s touch.
The exhibition walkthrough video will be online at www.eduardosecci.com/exhibitions.
